Project overview

A8

An identity and editorial direction that turns technical post-production into a cinematic brand experience.

A8 is an audiovisual post-production house based in Rio de Janeiro, working across editing, sound design, mixing, mastering, animation, foley, and delivery for streaming. The company needed a clearer brand platform to present its technical range, creative ambition, and collaborative approach to production companies, advertising agencies, technology brands, events, and cultural projects.

I began by developing the brand’s editorial direction, defining its core attributes, audience, positioning, verbal principles, content themes, keywords, calls to action, and a structure for communicating projects and partnerships. This gave A8 a more consistent way to describe its work, moving beyond service lists to show the creative and technical value behind each delivery.

The identity draws from the infinite possibilities of audiovisual post-production. The brand name’s connection to the infinity symbol became the basis for a visual and verbal universe shaped by galaxies, exploration, and the idea of moving beyond the ordinary. This direction informed the brand voice, slogan options, including “Elevating stories beyond the ordinary,” and a more cinematic visual language.

Rather than treating the identity as a standalone asset, I developed a system that could carry this direction across institutional communication and day-to-day touchpoints. The work included visual identity, editorial guidelines, portfolio structure, service communication, project narratives, and materials for presenting the team, capabilities, and studio.

The project gave A8 a unified foundation for how it looks, speaks, and presents its contribution to each production, balancing technical precision with a more expansive and creative point of view.
